Once upon a time when the Romans were here....

The lovely old Pont Julien is one of the Luberon's hidden gems.  This old Roman bridge warming its stones in the provencal sun lies just beside the D900, the main Luberon valley road which follows the route of the Roman road, the Via Domitia.

    And just a few years ago (2004) we were still driving over it as it was the route to Bonnieux. Amazing.
