Glorious June
Our local wine domaine, vines soaking up the sun and roses in full bloom. This vineyard has one of the most glorious settings nestling in the hills between the lovely villages of Roussillon and Goult. Makes topping up the wine stocks a real pleasure.

Jubilee day on the beach!
Yes, even on at our favourite beach restaurant at Le Lavandou they were celebrating the Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday!
And of course they have the Toulon flag out ready for supporting the boys in their big match this coming Saturday.

The 'Chelsea' of Provence
Journées des Plantes at the beautiful Jardins d'Albertas near Aix en Provence. For the past three days these lovely gardens have been the venue for the annual 'Chelsea Flower Show' of the south. Hundreds of visitors, plantsmen and of course a stunning variety of flowers and shrubs. www.real-provence.com

Once upon a time when the Romans were here....
The lovely old Pont Julien is one of the Luberon's hidden gems. This old Roman bridge warming its stones in the provencal sun lies just beside the D900, the main Luberon valley road which follows the route of the Roman road, the Via Domitia.
